Darshan Singh Bhuller, Artistic Director of Singh Productions is a former member of London Contemporary Dance Theatre (1979 -1994) as dancer, rehearsal director, choreographer and teacher. Darshan was heralded as one of the best dancers of his generation by critics, audience and peers alike.
He has created and directed over 20 works for companies including London Contemporary Dance Theatre, Phoenix Dance Company, and also Nordic Dance Theatre in Bergen Norway. Darshan was Assistant Director of Richard Alston Dance Company from 1994 &endash; 1996. Works created for schools include Northern School of Contemporary Dance, London School of Contemporary Dance,Danshögskolan in Sweden and English National Ballet School.
Darshan has directed numerous dance and music videos since 1985, including 'The Fall' (nominated for BFI innovation award), 'Harmonica Breakdown' for BBC 2 and 'What About Sky' (MTV, ITV Chart Show).
Collaborations with other artists, choreographers, musicians and film-makers include Graham Dean, Robert Cohan, Barry Guy, Barrington Pheloung, John Martyn and Julian Henriques
He continues to work as a freelance teacher, specialising in Graham-based technique as well as utilising his experience in other contemporary techniques. His most recent work for stage was, 'Planted Seeds' performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London in January 1998.
